COVID-19 Update

At hijoey, the health and safety of our employees and customers is our highest priority. We want to assure our community that the following measures have taken place to ensure our team stays safe during these uncertain times. For the time being, our small team is working remotely. Our distribution centres are currently processing orders as normal, implementing all procedures recommended by the CDC and WHO.

Why is it called "hijoey"?

"hijoey" started when we adopted our dog, Joey from an animal rescue in 2019. He has extreme anxiety and fearfulness, so it's always been a struggle for us to train around his pre-conditioned behaviours -- and it's especially heartbreaking when he's whimpering/whining and we don't understand what he wants.

We always wanted to find a better way for him to build more confidence, so when we saw Christina & Stella's videos last year, it just made a lot of sense to try and help him to communicate to make everyday life better for us all.

It’s our goal to focus on empowering independent designers from our community to create better collections that will help build confidence for you and your best friend, while delivering on the best minimalist, or home decor aesthetics.

Where are your products made?

All of our products are designed in Toronto, Canada. We've partnered with ethical manufacturers across Canada and beyond, crafting each piece with both a minimalist aesthetic and modern function in mind.

Are hijoey products recyclable?

Our original hijoey talking dog buttons are made from plastic and are not recyclable.

Our plastic-free e-commerce packaging is fully compostable and recyclable, except for the tape.

CHECKOUT + CART
How can I enter my discount code/coupon?

Discount codes are added and calculated at checkout. Please proceed to checkout from your cart to enter in your discount code.

Why isn’t my discount code/coupon being accepted?

Check to ensure that you meet the requirements of using your discount code. Some common code problems:

The discount code for a free button with purchase requires that you add your desired button to your cart before entering in your code.

Discount codes do not apply to button sets.

SHIPPING
How long will it take to get my order?

Both Canadian and US orders paid for will be fulfilled within 2-4 days. Our third party shipping company will then take 1-6 days for delivery.

What carriers do you use?

In Canada, we ship via Canada Post or Stallion Express. In the USA, we ship with USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

RETURNS + EXCHANGES
The products I ordered don't work for me. Can I return it?

Yep! We want you to be 100% in love with your hijoey products and will accept products in lightly used/new condition in exchange for a refund. To read more about our return policy, visit Shipping & Returns.

Something broke or was damaged during shipping. What should I do?
